Perhaps Handling has murdered Loy after his official release from Falkirk. Handling phones Edinburgh City to tell them he will be pulling out of the deal to join them as he's had a better offer elsewhere. Handling then removes Loy's scalp and face, sows it into a mask and travels to Dumbarton to sign a deal.

Handling feigns injury to avoid being rumbled during the friendlies, league cup and pre season. He lives as Rory Loy for 7 and a half weeks. On the 11th of August the lineup is announced... Loy starts. The moment we've all been waiting for, the marquee signing in his Sons debut. The teams emerge from the tunnel, Danny Handling rips off the face and scalp of Rory Loy to reveal Danny Handling.

That's a transfer saga.

Think you guys are more excited about this than us.

We are a bunch of excitable children on Christmas Eve whenever a signing is rumoured.

Personally I've not slept since the Snudge's post on Sunday.

When you look at our trialists then news of signings comes with an impending sense of doom.

Tell Rory that, then he’ll know what to do

I think we all already assumed that he'd take any other offer over us anyway.

Even if you did sign him you'd no doubt loan him out to us in January or release him to let him sign for us in the summer anyway, so it's probably best we cut out the middle man.

Something I’ve missed?

No, just that we're a miserable lot because our club tends towards being a farce run by an amateur bunch of clowns while the playing side is managed by a complete charisma vacuum.

Considering we've been told the budget has been more than halved since last season and we'd need to possibly search non-SPFL football for some bargain players and since then we've watched Craig Barr agree to stay despite deals on offer elsewhere, Ross Forbes sign up and now we're linked with a proven Championship goalscorer, it should be no surprise that pants are being soiled in here.

Fully expecting Sky Sports News to have a guy at the Rock and a guy at Stark's waiting for Loy to appear.

This is now a 'transfer saga' imo.

Signing Loy is effectively winning the league. Which makes me all the sadder that we're probablyg highjacking Handling's move to Edinburgh as a consolation prize :(
