Three days notice of a semi final. Probably the last time the cup will be played as well. Nice way to treat the sponsors - Ayrshire Weekly Press (including companies they too over) have been involved with Ayrshire Junior Football since the eighties

I feel for you! It does make me wonder do the supporters matter to the Fixture secretary? It is absolutely unbelievable that they have given you 3 days notice for this game and there is no reason why it could not have been put on the fixture list!

We are struggling to get numbers through the gates at the best of time, hang your head in shame fixture secretary as you, yes you are single handily making it difficult for clubs. You should do the decent thing and resign at the AGM!

No point blaming the fixture man he's doing what he's been doing for years.......all the blame resides at the numpties who voted him back in.

Not the case! He is there to do his job on behalf of the clubs! It is his duty which he has failed to do yet again!

Easy thing to blame those that voted him in, it is only him to blame!!!!

I get what your saying but the fixture fiasco is his normal remit which clubs obviously wanted by voting him back in.

It seems that Cambuslang Rangers don't know why the game is off, if their official Twitter is anything to go by this morning :-

That’s a strange post from their twitter given that it’s their club that have asked for the postponement

They've also said the request didn't come from the committee.

Strange goings on.

The fixtures chaos is  shambolic and totally unacceptable, 3 days notice for a semi-final iis beyond belief. No date for the deciding league encounters of the season with a Tuesday night being rumoured. You would think they were hell bent on self destruction.

What is happening with the review of the cup situations for next season with the extended league does anyone know?

According to another post the clubs don’t wanna do awaywith sectional and looking to make it 16 groups of 4 the cups shud of been voted on same Time as league reconstruction as time goes on it’s only 10 weeks til new season starts and we don’t know what cups are being played for absolute joke

The recommendation from the Working Group, based on consultation of all clubs, is to do away with the end-of-season League Cups and amalgamate the Ayrshire and Central Sectional Cups based on 16 groups of 4 teams with a pre-determined geographically based knockout draw (with Dunipace leaving one section would now be left with just 3 teams).

As I've already explained on the Central League Cup thread, the overall effect should be to have 154 fewer cup-ties, nicely balancing  the 164 game increase in league matches, and making end-of-season fixture setting much less chaotic.
