Skelly got off to a good start and looked good in League 2 whilst on loan with us, then also had a decent wee run out wide in his first season part time with us in League 2 aswell.

But the longer he was with us and the longer he was part time the slower and unfitter he got and he just ended up not being good enough to get game time. Got a cracking left peg and if he could get back to a good level of fitness he could be decent.

Maybe will get a new lease of life at Montrose.

He was never part time with us in League Two I don’t think, released from Dundee after we won the league and then signed permanently didn’t he?

Lichtie78 is correct.  He was on a season loan from Dundee when we won the league.  Scored some important goals and assists, especially that day at Cowdenbeath, but suffered an injury towards the final quarter which kept him out for the run in.

This season moving down to part time football and trying to overcome two injuries has been tough, then once he got back in he had Linn, Denholm, Kader all in front of him.

He is a good lad, and still young enough to get stronger and fitter.

Aye you’re right, must’ve been the niggly injuries he picked up.

Raith's longest-serving player Jason Thomson is leaving the club to go part-time. Has been linked with Arbroath.

Added.

Martin 'Jimmy' Scott has left Stenny for Cowdenbeath.
