Makes it even more ridiculous that Hopkin wasn't even nominated for Manager of the Year. Best manager in the Championship when you factor everything in.

The first leg pretty much went the way I suggested, the second leg will work out like this; Thistle will change their setup, possibly using 5 in the midfield to get behind Livi's full backs - this is the method chosen by United, and like United it will work for about 40 odd minutes with commentators and pundits giving it the "well Thistle have learnt from the previous leg and are looking to take this tie now". Livi will look unimpressive up until half time. The second half with the score either 0-0 or 1-0 to Thistle will then play out with Livi getting stronger to the point they score in round about the 60 minute mark, forcing Thistle to attack, allowing Livi to pick them off.

^_^

Admittedly Livi scored a little earlier than I stated and while Livi never really "picked them off", that seems to have come from Hopkin's decision to shut up shop at around the 75 minute mark - something he's not really done before and led to more Thistle pressure but it's a move that certainly paid off.

Congratulations Livi, for all but a few blips you were easily one of the most consistent teams in the league and deserved their chance at the playoffs. You took that chance with both hands, well done.

That's a monumental effort by Livi, and fully deserved. The job Hopkin has done there is absolutely astounding.
Full credit to them. Willie Miller will be seething as well at another "small club" going up, which is nice. A bit of a what might've been for my team, as we won two and drew two with Livi in the league, but we need to learn how to beat Dundee United!
Hope the Livi fans enjoy the moment and do well next season. Really pleased for ex-Pars Gregor Buchanan and Shaun Byrne too.
Commiserations to Thistle but it's going to be a brilliantly competitive Championship next year. And an away day to Firhill is always decent!
