senorsoupe Posted May 10, 2018 Share Posted May 10, 2018 I don't have a team in this world cup because a) Canada are crap and b) Scotland aren't that much better so I am going to cheer individual games based on the food and drink of the country playing which will mean that England probably won't get much consideration, although I do like a good pint of bitter. Won a good bit of cash on them at last World Cup, as on paper they were the only logical choice and had it won before they got on the plane. It’s a lot more open this time, but will still be back the Germans. They’ll likely face Spain in the semi, with the eventual winner coming from that game. Most Dutch people I know don't hate Germany anymore, the war is over 70 years ago now... There will always be a minority of fanatics, but many Dutch football fans have sympathy for Germany.
