Happy with the away draw.  Very fond memories of Shire's last visit to K Park.

It was a really competitive game against Kilby the last time we played them though and expect more of the same in this tie unless they get caught up in a promotion play-off.

Winner could play BSCG in R2, too.

Gala v Hawick also tasty.

Going by the rather sophisticated flowchart arrangement lower down here:

http://slfl.co.uk/fixtures-results-lowland-league/

the subsequent rounds is:

Second Round
(1) Stirling Uni/CSS v Gretna/Spartans
(2) Dalbeattie/BSCG v East Kilbride/East Stirlingshire
(3) Selkirk/Whitehill v Edinburgh Uni/Edusport
(4) Cumbernauld/Vale of Leithen v Gala/Hawick

Always nice to see a bit of love for a sophisticated flowchart. Just to confirm that the bracket as it stands is exactly that, it should (because technology is a fickle life partner) all feed into the next round in the bracket so those upcoming fixtures are correct.

How can CCs get beaten 3-2 by the Vale in the South Challenge Cup and a few days later hump them 6-0 in the league cup...CCs must be the most unpredictable team in the league?!
Cumbernauld are a very good side, might have been a wee bit different if the 'goal' the Vale got at 2-0 had stood. Didn't look offside to me. Best team won by a mile though.

Remember Vale have some very important games coming up and their minds would be on them. They are already in their second semi final of a cup this season but league survival is more important. It will be interesting to see how they both perform when they meet each other again a week on Wednesday in Innerleithen.

Have only seen the Colts once this year and they looked a decent side. the

TBH I would rather have had 3 points in the bag than a Semi Final. However, it's not outwith the realms of possibility for the Vale to get something out of the remaining games. The Dalbeattie game being moved to a Saturday has definitely worked in our favour.

Agreed, the points would be more beneficial. Now it's going to be a very interesting week if Vale win any of the next two games or both prior to the Dalbeattie game.

If they do it will be geared up for a thriller in Dalbeattie and if they beat the Star, a nice Semi to follow.

Hopefully Spartans can to both a turn against Cove Rangers.

If LTHV were to win the EOSFL ahead of Kelty Hearts and gain promotion is their ground now /or about to be licensed to Lowland League standard(apologies if this has been covered elsewhere).

March 31st was league cut-offs, e.g.:

Swain himself is desperate to defend their league crown and is optimistic they can finish the job off this weekend. But, with the club still doing their utmost to be granted an SFA Licence despite the March 31 deadline having passed, promotion to the Lowland League would appear unlikely at this stage.

Where does the 31 March deadline come from? The Lowland League rules state all clubs must be licensed members on the completion date, which is defined as 30th June. It mentions a date three months before but that's only for written applications before the maximum number of 16 teams are in the league.

Stirling v Gretna 2008 venue still to be decided as Falkirk Stadium is booked Friday night and Saturday
