Mark Russell is a shadow of the player he was a couple years back. 2. Jack Iredale should start every game at left back if fit. 3. Andy Murdoch is needed in the centre of the park. 4. Scott Tiffoney's best games for Morton have been playing up top through the middle. 5. Tidser and Harkins as a two in the middle of the park does not work. 6. Play a front three of Tiffoney, Oliver and Baird who have a combined height of about 7 foot and play high balls to them. When Iredale broke into the team he was fantastic, I didn’t see any way back for Russell at that point. Yet here we are, Russell starting and Iredale an unused sub. Our board have hired a complete duffer of gargantuan proportions. Its managed to get worse. That dosent mean the last guy was good. We were in a much better position but thats what it was like last season before we collapsed as per usual. This isnt the worst result weve had. Not by a long shot and thats frightening. Genuinely no disrespect to Morton. But now its 1 win in 10 or something and not one fan can think he's the guy for the job. We are stuck with him untill we either cant get promoted officially (if that clause even exists), we sack him and take the hit or he walks. So it looks like we are stuck with him. Our passing was a bit better than some will say but in the final third it was horrific. We suit width and we're sloppy without it. United have grafters. I'll give them that.
