Not much of a hobby.  If you’re 42 years old I’m sure you have better options.

Bonsai or sumo wrestling.

The suggestions on this thread thus far make airfix modeling look an exciting alternative!

Suit yourself.  You are two-thirds of my age, the next 21 years could be the best of your life.  Don’t waste it on Airfix models.

Don't worry, I'm not about to spend every waking hour on any hobby I may choose to take up. Life is about balance I'd say.

Listen to Audiobooks and/or podcasts.

Join The Moonies.

Take up a martial art or some form of pugilism.

Start a podcast about some weird fetish stuff

  • I already do.
  • I have no idea what the " moonies" are!
  • Not given my current circumstances.
  • i believe @DA Baracus already has that market cornered.

I’m sure someone already floated the idea of a Wikipiededia. Trawl P&B to create a glossary of the various in-jokes, long-sanding gripes, legendary missing posts etc.

Get a guitar? YouTube very helpful for lessons.

Need some advice guys. I've had the urge to buy an airfix WW2 model plane kit today and even watched videos showing tips on gluing and painting them......is this a mid life crisis, a cry for help or a legitimate hobby for a semi retired 42yo?!

Do you have any other (sensible) hobbies you'd recommend?

Ffs. You're one bored individual.

Jujitsu? Don't even know if it's Japanese but it's ideal for a strapping laddie like yourself.

Shunga?

Taiko drums?

Personally I'd do shodo, help you learn Japanese too.

Need any more advice give me your sisters number and I'll pass loads of shit on.

Got a spare £10,000 kicking about? Why not start a watch collection, its a fascinating hobby, and for that kind of cash you could get three decent pieces.

I've got a decent omega watch. You have many?

Has anyone done the Frodo gag yet?

I have three of those Airfix models in the cupboard under the stair. Impulse buys from Aldi that have been sitting in that cupboard for years. So, I’m summary, that would be a shite hobby. Get into sexy Manga cartoons and wanking.

Seriously though, you just need to get back to pumelling the missus.

You're probably right there to be honest.
