If every club comes back next year and Wigtown return, the league will be sitting at 16 teams. Clydebank skip the cups like East Kilbride FC were set to do, excess fixtures wouldn't be much of an issue. But it'll just intensify discussion of a West of Scotland which endanger the SoSFL's status and may even see some of its memberships move leagues. There will come a point where a Saints, Threave, Newton or Wigtown are ready to try the step up to the Lowland if they can - this halts their progress. CH86 Posted March 2, 2018 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Given that the SFA are unlikely to create a WOS league, and D&G clubs don’t overly want central belt teams in the SOS league and vice versa, if enough teams from the greater Glasgow area decide to join the SOS league then a possible solution would be to have a D&G league and a Strathclyde league, with the winners playing off to be the overall champion and take the lowland league play off slot.
