Five points behind the title favourites, with seven games to go? I think most Rovers fans would have been ok with that before a ball was kicked. It’s not the fact that we’d be 5 points behind though. It’s the football that Smith has had us playing the majority of the season. Some of it’s worse than anything we had to watch under Gary Locke. That’s the reason the fans are quickly turning against Smith.Even if a miracle was to happen and we somehow found ourselves winning this league come the end of April, I’d still want Smith out as we would find ourselves back down here in 12 months if he was to stay here for next season. Even if Ayr do drop points( won’t happen) in one or both games, I can’t see us beating East Fife on Sunday.

Ayr have dropped points on a fairly regular basis this season, often in easy-looking matches. Far from a given that they'll pick up six points. I know you’re on the wind up but there would not be 1 Rovers fan who would have taken being 5 points off top with seven games to go before the season started. Hank Scorpio
From those highlights, we actually played some no bad stuff in the first half. Buchanan dropping in and linking the play etc. That first Forfar goal, though - fucking hell. Just punch it! Second goal is a good Forfar move. Architects of our own downfall yet again. CALDERON
First half was one of those half's. We weren't good but I've seen worse. Damage all done in the second.

You were the better team in the first half, we had the better chances. Our disallowed goal looked perfectly ok in the highlights.Shame the footage didn't show Easton beating half your team in about a 5 yard radius

theSilverFox
I just watched the highlights and they proved that the referee was every bit as bad as I thought I saw last night, let's be honest, some of his decisions were baffling, especially . to give a handball against Hilson when he got the ball hard in the face, incedents in both halves where he should have stopped play (a foul against us in the first half and one against Raith in the second which merited bookings), the obvious and deliberate handball by the Raith defender on the by line in the second half. We were good throughout but especially in the second half, not a failure in the team. Raith lucky to not lose by more IMHO, there certainly did look like they were at opposite ends of the league table or the losing side were full time.
