Queens Park vs Forfar

Recommended Posts

Tempted to wish for the same starting 11 this saturday & we certainly need the same tactics / attitude as the Stranraer game.

Last saturday was the best first half I've seen in a long while from the Loons.

Let's just go for it :thumsup2

Feel that we probably need four points from the next two to psychologically give ourselves a chance. We’re capable of beating either side, but I’m not confident that we can amass more points than either Forfar or Rovers between now and the end. We don’t have a 5 goal victory in us and we don’t have Alan Trouten.

The mistakes that have been happening all season looked to have happened again on Saturday. It’s tough to see that suddenly changing. However, regardless of our weaknesses, if there’s one thing the players do it’s that they give everything. That’s all we can ask for again on Saturday and hopefully we can turn in a performance.

Pretty much this.

The only swap I'd be happy with would be Malone replaced by either of the two "rested" CH's.
Not too fussed if it doesn't happen though.

1st real big call selection wise for JW - off the back of our best win/performance of the season and with most players back to fitness / free from suspension.  Guarantee that last season's man would be dropping Murray, moving Jamie to LB,  bringing Travis to RB with (maybe) Munro replacing Malone.

V important game for us ahead of the "big 3" coming up.  3 points is a must.

For the first time since arriving at Forfar Jim Weir is faced with a positive team selection dilemma. Too many players for 11 places or even who makes the bench.  Will he keep the faith with the 11 that started against Stranraer or will he play safe and bring back Munro and Travis?  He got it right Saturday past let's hope he can do it again.

Hopefully Millen will be back to give us the balance and cohesion we sadly lacked at Airdrie.

Quite simply, if we want any chance of finishing 8th, then we have to win on Saturday then win at Cliftonhill the following week .  A minimum of 4 points over the two games will keep us in with a decent shout of finishing 9th.

Same line up as last week but Munro or Travis in for Malone?

The old addage - if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Perhaps last Saturday was a one off but I thought Malone had a great game. How's about Munro & Travis on the bench and see how it pans out?  Even put Trav up front if it's still close with 15-20 minutes to go.

Remarkable turnaround in the Forfar PnB camp since Xmas. Short ropes and razor blades scattered everywhere and Jim Weir was a numpty. 2 or 3 decent performances and your coming to the big Hampden to play fitba' now. Starting to look like a Clyde thread.

Free packet of travel hankies at the McAlpine lounge for the journey home lads. :whistle

TBF to Clyde 5 wins on the bounce is the stuff of dreams.
