Phrases that scream a***hole

"<insert name of person> can do better", said in reference to a person's partner. Whilst in a minority of cases its valid and based on the personality and behaviour of the partner, most of the time it's shallow nonsense based simply on one person's views on the physical attractiveness of another person. It doesn't occur to the person saying it that the person they're saying it about is perfectly happy and finds their partner not just physically attractive but like them for who they are as well, i.e. their personality, views, behaviours etc.

Although punching above your weight is seen as a complement rather than the insult it really is.

I think it's only an insult if you're stinking rich  :P

people referring to themselves as #punching beside a social media photo of them and their partner are weird.

Sounds more like something you'd see in the Courts section of the local paper.

The *insert name of country/region of country* Riviera.

I refer to a certain area of Scotland as 'the Costa del Fife', and within that, a wee town as 'San Andreas'. Does this count or is just just 'cute'.
