My own squad would likely be:

Allan McGregor, David Marshall, Jon McLaughlin;

Callum Paterson, Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson, Christophe Berra, Scott McKenna, John Souttar, Charlie Mulgrew, Liam Lindsay;

John McGinn, Scott McTominay, James McArthur, Ryan Fraser, James Forrest, Tom Cairney, Callum McGregor, Stuart Armstrong (if he can get back to fitness), Robert Snodgrass;

Leigh Griffiths, Oliver McBurnie, Jason Cummings.

Standby players would be: Greg Docherty, Matt Phillips, Chris Martin, Grant Hanley, Jordan Archer, Matt Ritchie, James Morrison.

If Darren Fletcher doesn't make it playing wise, would like to see him in and around the squad as a coach.

He's not a RB.  Just cause he's played most of his career there doesn't mean he is one.  Though he could get away with rwb.

Very similar squad to the one I picked. Would love to see some of the new faces make an impact and I agree having Fletcher around the squad either still playing or in a coaching role would be a positive

I think the squad is a good blend of youth and experience. It's good that it has been a good starting point for debate. Debate is positive.

Decent enough squad. The back up show us a bit light. But some potential there in that squad.

A starting line-up like this would be intriguing. 

-First caps for McLaughlin, O'Donnell and Lindsay who are having great seasons, and McBurnie who is in good form.

-Trying a back five to accommodate Tierney and Robertson in the same team.

-Having a look at Paterson in midfield.

-Getting Cairney into the team.

McLaughlin

O'Donnell - Berra - Lindsay - Tierney - Robertson

Paterson - McGinn - Cairney

Griffiths - McBurnie

Edit: Forgot about McTominay, could make a good case for him starting too.

Think Calum McGregor deserves to stay in the squad.
Burke I am a fan of (even tho he's much maligned) but not sure he'll make the cut.

He simply isn't a very good RB defensively. I don't care how long he played there. He's doing better in another position, and should be given a chance in that position.

Just because people think he's not a good right back (I disagree, I think he's fine) doesn't mean he's not a right back.

Sorry yeh could easily pick Barry Douglas as well. We have great options on the left hand side.


I’ve tried to put a squad together but always forget someone. Harsh as out that Douglas probably going to miss out when he’s been immense but way it is
