Honest_Man#1
Seems great, but he was the one who had ruled out Malky, and apparently a large section of the board wanted him, so I’m worried now that they appoint him with Regan gone.
Monkey Tennis
"Armageddon" will be this grotty little turd's epitaph. A dreadful human being who did an appalling job. Today has come eight years too late.

The idea that he was getting behind, which was in direct conflict with the will of the fans, is/would be far worse than the appointment of a shite manager. If they appoint a shite manager, the national team stays in the doldrums, where we have been since 1998. Not what we want, but pales into insignificance compared to the skullduggery he was pushing recently. He was only following orders.

Dunning1874
1 hour ago, The Moonster said: He's said very little. He "recognises the need for change" and despite "fighting head winds" he's happy that he "oversaw growth in the game". I'm glad he's gonwe, but really he's just the figurehead for the wanks that still exist. I doubt this will bring any sort of substantial change to our game, other than giving us someone else to tell to f**k off for the next decade. Agreed. In normal circumstances I'd be delighted to see him go. In the long term what he'll be remembered for is 'Armageddon', a disgraceful series of comments among a dreadful handling of the whole situation which should really have had him hounded out of the job via an angry mob physically removing him from Hampden there and then, while he's also overseen shambles such as the referees' strike, the home cup semi-finals, the current Hampden debacle and taking 8000 years to finally sack Craig Levein. However, the facts that his statement says nothing at all and it's clear he hasn't been planning to leave make it pretty clear that he's been forced out by the board over the current managerial situation. He was the one who pushed for O'Neill, he was the one who led the negotiations, he was the one who failed to get O'Neill and left the SFA looking clueless with no Plan B. Knowing that the board were split initially, all his departure achieves at this time is making it more likely that MalKKKy MacKKKay gets the job. If he was the brains behind schemes such as Project Brave and Colt Teams then having another shite manager for the national team would be a price worth paying for getting those ideas in the bin, but in reality he was only a figurehead and his departure will do nothing to stop them. Indeed. As Dunning points out, I think everyone is delighted he’s gone, but to me it makes it incredibly likely that Malky is the new manager. Poet of the Macabre
Quote ‘The only solution for the game now is that Rangers come into the Football League and they come into it at the First Division,’ insisted the SFA’s chief executive. ‘If Rangers were to go anywhere other than the First Division then there would be somewhere in the region of £15.7million worth of losses. ‘For the bigger clubs at the top of the league that’s half their annual distributions. For clubs at the bottom it’s basically wiping out their entire distributions. For some of the smaller clubs it’s a huge proportion of their annual turnover. ‘If you have an understanding with the banks immediately you cannot satisfy your debt. ‘St Mirren have already stated they would face a severe financial backlash if they lost their TV money. ‘Perhaps clubs could survive for a short period of time, but it’s not sustainable. ‘The game is not sustainable, so there would be a slow, lingering death for the game in Scotland. It would then trickle down to the Football League. ‘From our perspective as the governing body, we cannot allow that to happen. ‘There are no winners. There are only losers in this and it is just a case of how much is going to be lost.’ ‘We are faced with a situation some say is meltdown and some say Armageddon and whichever way you look at it it’s not a healthy future for the game,’ he added. ‘Already a number of clubs are saying they would have no alternative other than to go into administration if they can’t see a guaranteed distribution that satisfies their costs for next season. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, you hysterical, fawning c**t
