Florentine_Pogen
Only 60. Farewell Grumpy Prince. Apparently when they were doing all the arrangements for an appearance on “Later”, Smith insisted on a contractual clause stating that “under no circumstances was Jools Holland to play boogie-woogie piano anywhere near The Fall.” [emoji38]

Sarto Mutiny
Not a surprise after those gigs got cancelled last year, but very sad. The Fall were the greatest band in history. "Were"? Shit
moniton
Saw them at the Bay Hotel in Gourock sometime in the mid-80s, they were immense. Loved Smith's snarling presence- a true original hip priest.

Lurkst
Saw them at the QMU circa 1989. Appropriately I fell during the gig.
Suspect Device
Last time I saw them at the Lemon Tree, he didn't appear back on stage for the encore. Typical of him. R.I.P. a one off. Genius arsehole.
Leeds Saint
Probably seen them about a dozen times over the years, last time in Wakefield in October in what was one of their last gigs. He played the gig in a wheelchair and looked absolutely dreadful. When discussing it with folks afterwards said he'd be dead in 6 months. Sad but not surprised to be proven right. It was always interesting as you went in the doors of a Fall gig, was it going to be a train wreck or a work of genius.
Boostin' Kev
Probably one of the most underrated bands in terms of influence on others. Used to love all those lo fi American indie bands that Peel played when I was a kid they just never did much commercially. Pavement were probably the ones that crossed over the most. Apart from the dip in the late 90s when he went completely off the rails they were very consistent. The last few new albums of theirs I listened to was in the late 2000's and they sounded great.
