Surely it would make sense to play these games Sat/Sat to maximise revenue rather than the ludicrous Wed/Fri of the last few seasons?

There were pretty healthy attendances at the Kilsyth/Kilwinning play-off games at the end of last season for the two evening games.

Also at the previous year's between Kilwinning and Shettleston - the second leg of which was on at the same time as the opening match of Euro 2016.

Been to three sorry 4 of the night play offs and there were really good crowds, best crowd that I saw was Largs. V Ashfield what a game!

I'm presuming that's exactly what they have done.  Done a ballot for the play-offs hence the situation of the bottom Super Premier team getting the 'easier' play off!!

If that's the case then the ballot should not have taken place already. It could lead to teams choosing whether they could be better off winning or losing a game to secure an easier tie.

Correct.

There is no need for a ballot for the Premiership play-offs, common sense says 11th v 6th and 12th v 5th.
