George Grierson now confirmed as manager. Best of luck to him in the role. I really believe we’re not far off having a right decent team, hopefully George can get us playing with a bit of consistency. On our day we’re a match for anybody in the ADL, so with one or two no doubt added to what we have, im looking forward to a successful 2nd half of the season

He has had his fair share of clubs In the last few years to be fair, How manys that? 5? His saltcoats team was the worst av seen play at ardeer a few weeks back, Might have been an off day. You never know he might have just been looking for the right club that suits his style, All the best time will tell

Tbf, he only had 4 games at Saltcoats, won 2, drew 1 and lost 1. No too bad considering they had no points when he went in and two players. Time will tell, but he’s clearly an ambitious guy, and must see Whitletts as a quicker route to a higher level

Think you are in for a rollercoaster ride. Don’t see how his recent record justifies been given what I would consider to be one of the better jobs in junior football. Couple of seasons with Muirkirk and no improvement, and now not much loyalty shown to Saltcoats.

Needs his players onside right away . Looking at the league another couple of defeats and its a struggle for top 4 .

Winton Rovers and Irvine Vics already promoted .

Shoot out between Craigmark , Dalry , Maybole and Whitletts for 3rd and the play-off place .

Don’t think those stats are correct TT but all the best and if nothing else he consistent....will he see whitletts as a stepping stone ???
He certainly bigged himself up while on roll at Kilwinning and was applying for jobs elsewhere while profile high...
imo a club like yours deserves a wee bit of loyalty...
Hope I’m wrong ...

See you in a few weeks bud [emoji1303][emoji460]️

George Grierson has had some serious stick on here, including from me. In all fairness, he seems to put plenty of effort into his teams and obviously has a passion and knowledge for the game, and coaching.

The only problem is this distinct lack of loyalty. The guy seems to have a wandering eye. This must become, if it hasn’t already, a hindrance in getting a job. He needs to do himself, and now Whitletts, a favour by knuckling down and seeing this as a long term project.

Hope it works out.

Whitletts Victoria F.C.
Lugar Boswell Thistle F.C.
Annbank United F.C.
Saltcoats Victoria F.C.
Ardeer Thistle F.C.
Muirkirk Juniors F.C.
The bottom half of the ADL, but what else do they have in common, answers on a postcard.   One thing for certain, they won't have to fire him, he probably has an undated resignation letter in his inside pocket, just in case.
