Stevie88
Absolutely bossed the game today from start to finish. Kyle Magennis MOTM for me, thought he was outstanding & back to the form of last season. The pitch was terrible but we somehow still managed to knock the ball about well & Dumbarton didn’t get a sniff all afternoon. Slightly disappointed we didn’t score more, we had some decent chances but never managed to convert them.Another difficult away game next up for us in the league. Another 3 points would be great.COYS
Lex
Good win against a team we have struggled against recently. Unless United pull some big rabbits out some big hats between now and the end of January in the transfer window, hard to see who’s going to stop us winning the league now. essex_saint
Absolute shambles today. Didn’t think St Mirren fans were willing to pay an extra £2, but they proved me wrong. We welcome the Paisley pound. St Mirren fans are a different breed. A few were sat in front of me today, one guy taking up two seats was listening to something on his phone, not sure what but was making a noise. I asked him to turn it down as I like to listen to players, fans etc and not his phone. They were shocked that I asked to turn it down ( not off) however he did then turn it off and his mates thought I was in the wrong. Here’s a tip. He said he couldn’t hear it so how could I ? How about earphones next time ? Secondly, we all no the issue with the seats today so what do the St Mirren fans do at half time, they spot empty seats in the away end and proceed towards them. So what happens when folk reappear with a pie have to do ? That’s right move to the home end. You couldn’t make it up. If the ref sorted out McGinn then it could have been a wee bit different but by doing nothing it showed St Mirren that they could do what they want, and Stelios ....... don’t get me started. Awwwww diddums

NorthBank
Well that was easy. 2-0 going on 6-0. Next.
sonsanorak
Danny Handling might want to pass the ball forward now and again. Who to?I thought Handling played well today considering how deep the rest of the team were
squeezeboxson
Have to agree that we just weren't in that game at any point today. We just about hung on until half time. Funnily though, I don't think we are a million miles away from picking up points and scoring goals. We could do with a Stanton or Stirling (as of this time last year) to link things from the middle of the park to the striker(s) and create us something in the final third. I much preferred the St Mirren fans of last season when they weren't so up their own arses. Ref wasn't great today and McGinn played very well, but is still a p***k and should have been off for his kick out at Andy Dowie (who was comfortably the best sons player on the park). When there was space in front of him, he is the one we want to drive forward and create something, he continually just passed the ball backwards. Actually, his passing was very poor at times too. NorthBank
Walsh was Dumbarton's best player by some distance.

He wasn't great by any means (then again, aside from Dowie, nobody was) but he didn't lose possession often, and his passing was quick and sharp. Obviously that's because he mainly kept it simple, but I'd far rather that than some of the horrendous balls that were hoofed directly onto St Mirren boots/out of play. There was a moment in the first half where he did well to open up space, looked up and had five St Mirren players (excluding Craig Samson) in front of him, and not a single teammate. Changing the subject a bit, Andy G tweeted post match that we've now failed to score in nine of our last 13 home games. I knew it was bad, but that's seriously grim. sonsanorak
He played first half as the cm behind nade and was regularly the out ball for a pressurized defence. Not easy to be creative when nades the one guy in front of you.I thought he repeatedly took the ball when under pressure and kept possession for the team well. The fact he picked the ball up so often and had to turn back towards the players behind him is down to him wanting to or being told to keep possession.I thought at times or passing through midfield was pretty decent today.Ally roy was hugely frustrating. BIG BEN
Aye I really had the fear that Morgan would just stride past him and stick it in the bottom corner like he did against Dundee United, but we showed him wide near enough every time. Did he get more than he would've done against Wardrop? Absolutely. But it wasn't the savage murder I was expecting. Morgan is carrying an injury hence he wasn't on corner duty. Quiteish game by his high standards but still worries defenders
Silverton End
I'll happily pay Handling's taxi back to Edinburgh. Same applies to the keeper & Calum Gallacher, wherever they want to go. No complaints about the result as we never turned up 2nd half, losing a goal so early after half time killed us.

Nowhereman
St Mirren easily the better team and deserved their win but that makes the feigning injury to get players booked all the more embarrassing
BIG BEN
Better team won...not a huge amount in it in the first half, but st mirren stepped up in the second, and we had no answerA lot of our own fans beating ourselves up...we just lost to the best team in the league and the likely championsFor me...our best players were Dowie and Nade in the first halfI thought the ref missed all the big decisions...how he and the linesman missed McGinns kick out I dont know. I thought Carswell could have had a red fir his challenge, but Stellios was embarrassing McGinns kick was a soft yellow at most. Carswells tackle on Stelios was well worse

McGinn's was a blatant attempt to kick our player, where Carswell just put in a hard challenge and took the player in the process.
