Mediocre Pundit Posted December 30, 2017 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Not the best game but really impressed at the fight we showed. The players dug in for that and you could tell what it meant to them. Pleasing. Doolan’s goal was a bit of a gift but he took it well. Sammon coming on changed the game for me - he was always showing for it and making runs, must have been hard to defend against, and his goal was excellent. He should have had one more, as should Doolan. Barton was excellent at the back - filled all the gaps brilliantly and strolled it. Lawless was tireless at LWB but the sooner we can get Booth or Penrice in there the better. McGinn worked hard on the right but didn’t offer much going forward. Spittal tried to make things happen but not one of his best games. Edwards worked hard and McCarthy didn’t put a foot wrong when he replaced Woods.
