Is there a single club that has actually suffered in any meaningful way as a direct result of Rangers being in the seaside leagues?

Not that I can think of.

No clubs have suffered and several clubs have  reaped the benefits of Rangers dying.  Glorious.

If that is indeed him, he's just doing anything he can to get out of the hellhole he's in, as would anyone in his situation.

Yup. I understand why rangers fans are annoyed about it though!

Sevconians genuinely thought we were enthralled watching them and Celtic swap titles every season

Since the Oldco entered admin the following teams won major trophies:

Killie (first for 15 years)

Hearts (a 5-1 scudding of their rivals)

St Mirren (first for 26 years)

Aberdeen (first for 19 years)

St Johnstone (first ever)

Inverness (first ever)

Ross County (first ever)

Hibs (scenes)

We’re supposed to regret it though

Spot on.

In terms of the stuff that followers of our game actually care about, the spell between Rangers entering admin and the rebirth making it into the top flight, was unprecedentedly interesting.

The feebleness of Bennett's little response proves that the facts can't be countered.

Definitely.  Hibs hearts and Aberdeen packing out their stadiums Kilmarnock flying Motherwell solid.   Scottish football is easily the best it's been for 25 years.

This is about the only time I agree with you.

You really think that Sevco coming into the league has set the league ablaze?

If this is the best it's been in 25 years then....

A quality read. Endless bigotry & death threats galore - http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/topic/316027-moh-in-with-the-beggars-yesterday/

MOH's move to Rangers must go down as one of the most ill-advised transfers of all time. Got to feel sorry for the guy. Can't blame him for trying anything to get out of there ASAP.

I'll add that the teams up and down the leagues are healthier financially than they have been.  No administration/liquidation events since 2013 and there aren't any of the 42 SPFL teams that look to be in much danger (from the outside) of going into admin any time soon.  The generation of crooks, shysters, and incompetents in the chairman's offices in Scottish football is all but over, only one club is a holdout in that regard...

I find it fucking hilarious that Rangers spent years bleating on about how when they were back they were "going for 55" and "knocking Celtic off their perch"

In reality, Celtic have actually enjoyed their greatest success domestically in the clubs history in the past 2 years.

Rangers, ironically, were actually a catalyst to Celtic becoming much, much better than they had been.
