Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Where we getting -5 from? Met Office is saying it won't drop below 0 tonight. Clear day with the sun out from 9am forecast too. I'm hopeful it'll go ahead but we may well need an inspection at around 10/11am. That's ground temperature or road surface temperature, which looks to be falling as low as -6 by tomorrow.

That's what the council go on when deciding when to grit.

The Moonster
Would the covers even protect the ground down to that temperature?

If they were down before any frost started then yes. That is presuming they are still useable. It's nearly 2 years since they have been used and they weren't in great shape back then. Nowhereman
The ground is frosty at the moment. Can't see it being any better this time tomorrow
Dumbarton Rock
You have a chance of the game being on today. The bowling green is frozen but I could force a key through it. That has a lot less protection as it's cut so short so chances. Goal mouths and the standside part of the pitch will decide it.
sons'r'us
Fingers crossed. If the game is in doubt i am surprised we haven't heard anything from the club yet.

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Surely to f**k we'd know if there's going to be an inspection required before 11am. Just drove home from Loch Awe due to the fact there was zero mention of it and all seemed fine.

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
I am beyond seething. No chance we only knew there was an inspection required at 11am (15 mins before it took place). Give folk a heids up at least if it's in doubt.
andylivi1
Going to be a busy few weeks depending on the rescheduled date for this one now, disappointing but can’t say it’s unexpected.
optimistic
That’s appalling. Do Dumbarton not listen to weather reports? Another embarrassment
