Good to see the big man grabbing the winner after his wee daft spell, won while playing poorly for large spells interspersed with some terrific passing moves.

A game either team could have lost 6-3 Ayr were playing Harlem globetrotter stuff in the first half hour, Higgins tries it and we concede, he tries it again and Trouten missed one of the easiest chances he'll ever have, although Hart did well to put him off.

The next 30 min were a bit scrappy, Moffat hit the post, Hart made a couple of good saves and I have no idea how Shanklands effort never went in.

Forrest, McGuffie and McDaid made a big difference with a complete change of shape and we took a bit more of a grip of the game in the final third.

Trouten's goal celebration was always going to come back and bite him on the arse

Just shows how much we miss Crawford and Geggan. Zero penetration from midfield and lots of the first was hoof ball.

McDaid and McGuffie added width in the 2nd half and Forrest was superb when he came on.

I thought all the subs done very well today when they came on.

Forrest looks a different player when he plays more centrally. Injury list is a worry - falling like flies.

Play Moffat in midfield next to Adams and Forrest behind Shankland next week if need be.
