We've reached the final PPV of 2017, hopefully it's a strong ending to the year. This will be a SmackDown exclusive PPV following the 1 hour Pre-Show, 3 hours Main Card format live on the WWE Network. For ourselves that means Midnight for the Pre-Show and a 1AM start for the main card. It takes place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts Sunday December 17th 2017. This is only the 2nd installment of the Clash of Champions PPV, after RAW's decent effort in September of last year. After not a lot at stake at Survivor Series, expect to see Championships back on the line here. SmackDown are likely to also showcase The Bludgeon Brothers, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riot & Sarah Logan.

Confirmed Matches:

Zack Ryder vs Mojo Rawley (Kickoff Match).

Breezango vs The Bludgeon Brothers.

Baron Corbin © vs Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE United States Championship.

Charlotte Flair © vs Natalya in a Lumberjill Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

The Usos © vs The New Day vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs Rusev and Aiden English for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan will be the Special Guest Referees. If Owens and Zayn lose, they'll be fired from WWE.

AJ Styles © vs Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.

I think he's just getting at the fact there won't be any champions clashing at the Clash of Champions.

Having had all the champions square off at Survivor Series, this is a fucking stupid name for a PPV. And a single brand one at that.

Exactly.

I can just see them sitting in the writers room, talking excitedly about their Rumble plans and the road to Wrestlemania when one of them bursts in - "here guys, there's another PPV in December!"  Cue much wailing and gnashing of teeth, then after some placating takeaway, they just decide to throw together any old shite because it doesn't matter anyway.

Can't see Jinder winning the title back now they've announced he'll be facing THE GAME THE KING OF KINGS THE CEREBRAL ASSASSIN TRIPLE H in India.  Unless they have him win and then Trips challenge for the title and lose, I can't see it.  Actually, having said that, the India tour is before this, isn't it?  No reason for him to win at Clash then, he'll get jobbed out and disappear down to the midcard again.

Makes an easy decision for me anyway, I'm struggling these days to make the shows live, so them putting out dreadful cards like this makes it an easy decision.  Will try and avoid spoilers and watch through the bits I'm interested in on Monday night.

Ziggler shoots on his position In WWE, next day he’s added to the US match.

WWE always attempt to drum up attention with this shit. I'd guess adding him to the US title match after that was always the plan.

As for the card, I'm not convinced. The tag matches should be good fun though.

I've not kept up with this and it really doesn't look good at all does it? Hope they continue to shine the spotlight on the tag team division as that title match could be great. Also continue to build The Bludgeon Brothers back up. If we get back into the position of The Usos vs The Bludgeon Brothers down the line it'll be tremendous. Surely Carmella can find an opportunity to cash in during or after this Lumberjill match.

This seems like one of the most boring PPV's in my life watching wrestling. I'm sure as an event it'll be fine and certainly better than some of the stuff in the mid 2000's or early 90's, but this just seems so utterly bland and I'm not invested in anyone in this show tonight other than AJ and Luke Harper. Just very meh.
