I think Buffalo are still in the wild card spots in the AFC - even after both the Bills and Baltimore won.

Chargers losing yesterday certainly helped us.

Assuming loss in NE and win in MIA, I think the following scenarios need to apply for Bills to get in

Ravens lose one of next two (IND , CIN) or

Titans lose either now vs SF or next week vs LAR (or both) but *have* to lose wk 17 vs JAX in addition to those.

Not particularly confident of any of those.

Beautiful with a last minute FG too.  :)

Ravens are through, IMO. I think they'll steam roll both Colts and Cincinnati.

Next week in NE, not confident at all ; but you never know then we'll see  how it looks going in to Miami.

Been playing about with the 538 playoff predictor for the last 5 minutes. Someone smarter or geekier than me will work this out but I *think* we actually want Tennessee to win next week now as that helps Buffalo if it ends a 3-way 9-7 tie for the 6 seed with BUF/ LAC / TEN

edit: yeah. if it's a 3 way tie at 9-7 with those 3 teams and the Titans remaining win is vs JAX they're in, if it's vs LAR Buffalo is in. But if the Titans go 8-8 then LAC holds the breaker over BUF so LAC would be in.

Obviously the most likely scenario is enough results break for the Bills and they lose 42-3 in Miami

Been a few years since someone has failed to get their pick in on time.  The other will be traded away.

Not sure about that. Sashi isn't there anymore and if there's anything they need it's uber talented players to help their young QB (assuming they get one). Constantly pushing it a year away gains nothing. They need to cash in.

Lots of permutations at this time as you'd expect but the guaranteed "win and X" scenarios for week 16 that don't rely on another team losing or tying are:

JAX- win division

KC- win division

PHI- #1 seed

LAR- win division

NO- postseason spot*

CAR- postseason spot

ATL- postseason spot*

*playing each other so both can't happen obvs

Every result that could have gone against the Bills did (obviously I had these results on a coupon so at least made some money out of it).

To end the drought, bills need to win and either

Baltimore to lose vs Cincinnati

Or

Titans to lose vs jaguars

And

Chargers to lose vs raiders

Not happening.
