Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
The correct answer is moka. ETA: Beaten to it. Edited November 12, 2017 by Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo

welshbairn
Another vote for the moka pot, didn't realise it was called that. Quick, dead easy to clean, cheap and makes the best coffee imo. You just have to decide what size you want, wouldn't go for a small one unless you're after tiny espressos. It makes delicious coffee, better than many expensive machines. They can be a bit leaky though.
The Equalizer
Isn't Moka just for espresso though? Can you make a regular pot of coffee in it?
blackislekillie
Yes. I use mine every morning. Get two decent sized cups from it with hot milk.

Shandon Par
“French press” is up there with eggy dip dip as a a deviant’s turn of phrase. It’s a cafetière.
mrcat1990
Used to have a Moka pot and did okay with it. It however doesn't give you any crema on your espresso nor does it replicate the consistency or flavour of a good espresso. I upgraded to a cheap burr grinder and Andrew James espresso machine that cost only around £70. Results you get with it are pretty good for the price. In terms of making best filter coffee the Aeropress wins.
Shandon Par
I’ve got an insulated cafetière. Coffee stays hot for about an hour.
