Guest TOPFITTER
This should be a pointer to the title winning credentials of both clubs. The fixture earlier in the season a 3-1 win to Stenny over Peterhead was to those who watched a victory of those who wanted over those who didn't seem to give a damn and was richly deserved. Peterhead showed such a lack of desire, technical ability or assurance for a team the Bookies saw as favourites that it was a disgrace to those Blue Toon fans who made the effort to support them and left short-changed. The revitalised Peterhead owe their travelling support a reversal of that score at least in recompense. Stenhousemuir that day could and should have scored more and their fans rightly applauded them off the park for a fine honest effort and a deserved result. So to Saturday will Stenhousemuir re-invigorate their title aspirations or will Peterhead (now more Fight than Flight) grind out another 3 points ? Weather allowing this looks to be a goal-fest approaching
peternapper
We need to keep our momentum going with a run of games coming up against top half teams, Stenny have proved to be awkward opponents for a few seasons & despite finishing below us last year took 10 out of 12pts from us then. We need to win these games especially at home if we hope to top this league come May.
blueone
Think this game is a must win for us. Not in terms of the title/promotion as there's a long way to go yet but in terms of showing we're serious about getting the title/promotion. As said our recent record against Stenny is not good and we need to put that right.

blueone
Different defence same failings. I blame Stenny for saying Mason Robertson was good although to be fair the rest of the defenders were just as bad. Probably our first choice defence and three sloppy goals lost which could and should have been prevented. Really don't know what the answer is. Loads of good players so maybe it’s the fact they’re barely training together and have to travel so far? Maybe better doing an Elgin style approach, signing the best part time guys from up and around the area, training in Aberdeen? Have no idea tbh but find the Peterhead situation pretty interesting. Moonglum25
Great result for us yesterday - after last weeks second half performance was worried about which team would turn up. Can we keep McGuigan after January is now the question. We should make a bold move and try and sign him up for another season to ensure that if someone comes calling then there would be a transfer fee. Looking forward to the derby with Alloa now. Thom & Gerry
Elgin only have 4 North players. The rest are central belt. Much the same as Peterhead.

Did you not just recently move your training to Perth?
NewBlue
More points dropped at home More points dropped to Stenny I don't know how you ended up as our bogie team! I am not sure what the solution is but having such young defenders (less McKracken who has barely played) probably hasn't helped. We could look at getting someone in January but we have already had a lot of chopping and changing at the back so not sure that would really improve things. Thom & Gerry
Yeah. Training at Perth but does not include North players. Lot less North players but more done to accommodate Weir who was having trouble making training.
NewBlue
HIghlights: Can't believe how bad our defending is (who am I kidding yes I can) and that penalty we gave away was pathetic.
Francesc Fabregas
The defending for all five goals was pretty terrible. Based on the highlights, Peterhead looked as though they had the better of the chances - does the video reflect the game itself?
