Utd v League One Favourites Falkirk

Recommended Posts

Oh good, two weeks worth of buildup.....

Anyway, Utd to me now the clear favourites for the league as they should have been to start. With Falkirk faultering they will likely find themselves free and clear by the turn of the year.

As for this game, you lot are just going to have to write it off as you are simply not mentally ready to see Don Hartley swaggering about Tannadice again yet. 2-0 Bairns.

Poorest side we've played so far this season  although that's probably only because we can't play ourselves. Could see us maybe snatching a draw but can't see us getting enough goals to get 3 points.

The team we played yesterday are the worst to come to TFS.

Absolutely no fear going to Tannadice

Nor should you have.  It's a decent venue and the fans are for the most part good reasonable folk.  The biggest threat is if you try the pies; our catering is far from perfect.

Our football has improved significantly in a short space of time though, so there is that.

We were also appalling in our 3-0 away to defeat to St Mirren but had a very deserved victory against them yesterday despite conceding a freakish late goal.  FWIW St Mirren were a very tough test yesterday and if we play to that standard against Falkirk you will get nothing from the game.

On the other hand, if you want to base your prediction based on our last game....

St Mirren were pretty gash when we played them a couple of weeks ago which emphasised the fact that theirs no outstanding teams in this league. Again our finishing let us down but we're pretty rock solid at the back when we play McGhee and muirhead at fullback. Don't see there being a lot of goals in the game but with you being at home you should be expected to edge it.  Unfortunately I doubt we'll see major improvements from us in an attacking sense till after xmas when Hartley can do a bit of wheeling and dealing hopefully.

No yesterday's mob are the worst club but Utd are the worst team.
What a wasted opportunity this season is.

I reckon Falkirk are the worst team to turn up at your ground this season tbh.

The fans that visited us yesterday were the lowest of the low.

No place for that in modern society.

The Fifers do seem to have a problem with some serious arseholes in their support but to be honest I wasn't impressed by the wee fannys throwing coins and pies in the South Stand yesterday

I agree. We have sime eejits too.

The Dunfermline fans are like a throwback to the 80s though. Worst I have seen at our new stadium.

Not so much a throwback but a pale impersonation of the seriously mad buggers you got on the terraces in 70s and 80s. Stupid verbals and dancing at railway stations are thankfully all the computer game generation are good for.

I'm not surprised .why fling a pie that costs you 2 quid when a pound coin will do far more damage for half the price.

According to a friend who works in the office at Tannadice we are looking at putting up some netting or fencing in front of the Falkirk fans. I believe Thompson will contact the SPFL today or tomorrow to ask if this is possible.
