Kilmarnock FC v Hibernian

Recommended Posts

It'll be an interesting one this.  By my reckoning, Hibs have only lost once since mid August, and that was to the Dandy Dons.  They're clearly a decent team under Lennon.   Conversely, although it's early days, Steve Clarke has had a marked impact on the dross that Jig left.

Will be break our home win hoodoo?

Once again,  I'm stupidly confident about this. 2  - 0 to the mighty, Jones and Erwin to score.

Probably just playing Killie at the wrong time, they seem to be getting their shit together. I really rate Steve Clarke and he managed to get a brilliant result yesterday. Saying that, there is no reason we can't get the 3 points here, we're unbeaten away from home and in good form.

Narrow win for the Hibees, 2-1.

Be interesting to see if Lennnon makes changes, we've played quite a few games recently and he might want to freshen it up.

He's raved about the performances in the last 2 though. Can't see him changing it unless Stokes is fit.

Our away form has been good so far and we’ve had a couple of clean sheets recently which is promising.  Killie improved recently under Clarke and this is his first home game so could be difficult. Expecting the same team as the last two games unless Stokes is back fit.

Buzzing for this game, another tough test against another 'in form' sides who under Clarke have picked up some credible results. Our defence has been very decent lately, 3 clean sheets in last 5 league game, but we're still struggling to put teams away which seems to be the story of our season. Our pace up top could come in handy on the artificial pitch, especially if Killie come out and attack since their at home, could catch them on the break. Can see another tight score, wouldn't be surprised if its another 1-0 win or a draw. Should be same team as the last two wins.

Steve Clarke wants his team to feel the love from the Kilmarnock supporters as he prepares for his first home match as manager.

The new boss has started life with draws away to Rangers and Celtic and welcomes Hibernian to Rugby Park tomorrow night.

After being impressed with the size and noise generated by the Killie faithful on three trips to Glasgow this month, Clarke is looking for the crowd to transfer that energy at home.

He said: "From the supporters’ point of view what they have to do is build on the last two away performances that they’ve had.

"We took a half decent crowd to Ibrox and a half decent crowd to Celtic Park and I think they enjoyed what they saw.

"If they can come here and bring that enthusiasm with them, hopefully bring another couple of hundred supporters and we can start to build the gates here and get right behind the team.

"That’s what the team needs at this moment in time. They need a little bit of love from their supporters, get behind them and give them good support and hopefully we can get that win that everybody wants.

"We want it and I’m sure the supporters want it too."

Killie are aiming to pick up their first home league win of the season when Neil Lennon's men come to town.

And the boss is aiming to ensure the club's form in Ayrshire picks up straight away.

He added: "For any club your home form is probably crucial to how you do over the course of a season.

"It’s something we have to address as quickly as possible and we’ve got a great chance tomorrow night against Hibs to get a home win on the board."
