Scottish Cup weekend. Where will the shocks take place

Excellent win for Meadow today against an very strong East Superleague team.

Lost a goal in middle of 1st half but equaliser on stroke of of half time and then two goals in first 7 minutes of 2nd half, the last of which was an appalling blunder by Broxburn keeper. One pulled back by Broxburn before a couple of late goals made the score about right.

Best Meadow performance I have seen this season.

Best result for the club in a good couple of years bearing Broxburn are a premier league team.

Boydy back in the team made the difference. Marks was outstanding and didn’t put a foot wrong. Good to see Begley and Cairns back in the team.

Never even expected to win today never mind score 5 goals. Hopefully a slightly easier draw in the next round.

Despite the bookies having us at 14-1 on (Kilsyth) it was far from an easy game against Stoneywood Parkvale today.  Maybe the fact that they started  with 22 players on the park had something to do with it.  After a rocky start they came well into the game when they went down to 10 and shocked us just one minute into the second half with a fine goal. Then us going down to 10 as well didn't help and it was only late in the game that a third goal took the pressure off. Shock of the rond has to be Cambuslang losing at home, or maybe Shotts scoring 13 after a very poor start to their season.

The Stonehaven keeper had the game of his life at Cambuslang, but there can't be any complaints. They should have scored more and not lost daft goals. Stonehaven's first was a penalty given when the forward was moving out of the box, away from goal, there was no need to make any contact. The other two were when Cambuslang were chasing the game.

We are in a good position in the league and our last game we beat Irvine Meadow. Yesterday was disappointing and the fact we were missing big players Smith, Meikle, Gemmell and Mcrobbie has been ill all week and come on near the end didn't help matters but ultimately we just didn't want it as much as Stonehaven who are a big strong side and we're worthy winners .Needs to be better next week at renfrew who are flying.  But thanks for worrying about us mate.

We were very poor yesterday. No hunger or desire to win that game whatsoever.

Maybe the squad isn't as strong as some might have us believe.

2 new guys thrown in and neither stood out, early days granted but need to pick ourselves up and get this shocking performance out of our minds. The performance was on a par with the trip to Darvel.

Credit to Stonehaven though, deserved their slot in the next round, best of luck to.them for rest of the season.
