Given Yogi slagged off quite a high percentage of our squad last season when they were his players, that would add a nice wee bit of needle to Saturday's game.

Aye but you'd think they'd have a bit of empathy for the Utd players knowing what they're going to have to suffer from Hughes.

I don't see what's grim about the prospect of McIntyre. Aye, it's not an exotic or unexpected suggestion, but surely a manager who is proven at the level you're at is a less risky prospect than chucking it at the first manager outwith the typical Scottish candidates to come along regardless of their level of experience, just for the sake of trying something different. I would understand that view if all the usual candidates were utterly mediocre, but McIntyre has always been a good manager in this league rather than an average one.

What's grim is that we keep going for ex players , every single one them seem to be a fail miserably when they get here

Calm down chaps, McKinnons jobs safe.
The board meeting was to discuss the announcement of the clubs winding up order. *

This post makes no sense.   Surely if the club is winding up then his job is not safe.

That would certainly be a left field but very decent appointment

He was asked by a journo on Saturday if he wanted the Leicester job , he replied "I'm here to assist the new manager , I have a new 3 year contract". Won't be him for sure !

Mckinnon took the job too soon, he hadn’t done enough tbh to earn it.  He had a fantastic final 6 months with us (our form from the end of the transfer window to the end of the season was better than anyone else in the league, Rangers included) but that was largely helped by a very good transfer window.  The first half of the season was decent, but suffered the usual winter slump that befalls all Rovers managers.

A couple of good seasons at Brechin and an impressive one with Rovers isn’t enough to warrant a job with that much expectation.  Coupled with the fact that he in Laurie Ellis an assistant with even less experience, it was too soon.

Also, he is an absolute snake so delighted to see him fail, as bitter as that sounds.

Hughes might work out…there is some credence to the argument that he inherited some absolute keech – he did, they were Lockes players and ergo were dreadful.  However the way he handled it was atrocious.

It was indeed a season of two halves for you guys under McKinnon.  His recruitment the first half of the season was abysmal and yet his recruitment after xmas was excellent.  Looking more and more like it was the second halfs recruitment that was a fluke and not the first half. You'd think United would have learned by now that if you don't conduct yourselves properly when appointing a new manager it tends to come back and bite you on the arse.
