McKinnon is clearly not up to the job . Thompson need's to step up to the plate and realise McKinnon's time is up , he should also look at clubs like Kilmarnock & Ross County's recent managerial appointments and try to persuade Billy McKinley to return to the club he started his career with in an effort to restore the club to past glories.

In all seriousness, McIntyre is probably the outstanding choice here. Surely he couldn't do any worse than McKinnon with the players they've got.

Knowing United's luck, it'll be Yogi or, heaven forbid, Ian Cathro to make a glorious return.

The under performing prima donas on the pitch should be the ones to be punted  not a manager with the same club loving credentials as McKinley ( just going by your logical choice )

I agree with your viewpoint on the players , was disappointed though extremely relieved at their lack of ambition and quality in last seasons play off, I suggested McKinley as a replacement not due to his links with the club but more so for his coaching ability , he is also as far as I can ascertain out of work just now so that will appeal to Thompson , just looking for an alternative to the same group of usual suspects who figure in next manager lists.
