Afro Posted October 30, 2017 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Think if Brechin had taken anything from the game it would've been entirely self-inflicted from ourselves and not really a true reflection of the second half. Once Mackin came on and we went with two up front it looked there was only going to be one winner. No idea what Gallagher is doing for the penalty but it was, without a doubt, his worst game for us. A word on Brechin; can't really fault them for application but their players just aren't good enough for this level. Comparisons with Dumbarton are a bit of a moot point, given they attract certain ex-FT players to supplement a decent core of PT players, and were blessed with Ian Murray in a deity-mode when they first arrived here. Darren Dods is always a good character to throw banter at from an opposing fans' POV but it's fairly unrealistic to expect him to lead this squad to anything above bottom spot in this division. It would probably be fair to say that no-one at Brechin expected this promotion so just enjoy it, as difficult as it may be; f**k knows, maybe we'll be in your position up in the Premiership bemoaning our status next season. The gauntlet has been thrown down !!! . Nah you are probably right but once Andy Jackson and Ryan McGeever recover and Euan Smith gets back to full fitness you never know. [emoji38] We know we know . I think the last 5 games have shown we re not cannon fodder .All we re missing is a goalscorer and an experienced midfielder. Smithy the keepers sold a few this season but he's still a good keeper . Unfortunately the committee are adamant they re s no striker coming in so guess we re doomed ..
