Cambridge University is putting trigger warnings on its Shakespeare course documents to warn students that it may make them feel uncomfortable.

What sort of adult is triggered by a 400 year old book?

Those who have bought into victimhood as a central mode of living, useful for gaining modicums power over others, and power over acceptable opinions, language, etc. So 'Progressives', intersectional feminists, identity ideologues, etc. catching up with the same behaviour of religious fundamentalist types.

This infantilising bullshit is unfortunately gradually spreading from North American academia/campuses (where it is rampant) to the UK.

Well, those punters in the cabin in The Evil Dead for starters.

In the recent remake the cabin crew find a flesh bound evil book wrapped in barbed wire' with 'LEAVE THIS BOOK ALONE' and 'DONT READ ALOUD' written all over it. Then they read it aloud.

I am triggered by their stupidity. Although it is a great movie.

There aren't enough threads about The Evil Dead TBH.

How was the TV show? Haven't had the chance to see it yet. Does it tie into the remake, as promised?
