FIrst time we’ve looked like a proper unit for the full 90. A great shift from all the players and a great deal of the grit that we showed last season. Could have scored a couple more. By no means Barcaesque, but I think we did enough to deserve all three points. More of the same, please.

Watched the Forfar v Ayr highlights......the Loons were utterly inept. Hooray!

Donnelly in behind Orr was a winning conbination. No howlers at the back. Rovers looked very ordinary. With Airdrie self-combusting at Arbroath, the outlook is a bit rosier this morning.

Team player. Like it. Should have felt better last night after that display. Very seldom you get every man on the park having a good day. Hats off to Hillcoat too for his constant coaching in the game. Maybe he'll ask Gus to have a cold next week too:rolleyes:

Luke Donnelly had his best game yet but only caught up with the rest of the team yesterday. Particularly liked the shot he fizzed off in the first - too often we over-pass in that area. Gus has stuck with the 3-5-2 (actually 3-1-4-1-1) and yesterday was the day it clicked. Hopefully the next two fixtures will allow time for consolidation. Key to it all is the wingbacks. a really tough job trying to support the defence and the midfield but both Millen and Summers (what a find) proved they can do it provided the back 3 sits up the pitch a bit, which they did. This let Brady and Docherty - both top notch again - sit higher and support the front two. The reverse pass by Docherty to Donnely that led to the corner for the goal was the stuff you see at Man City. Delighted to see Orr score. He was in exactly the place you want a striker to be at a dead-ball play.

A great team effort. No reason for Gus to change anything next week. A bit of consistency would be very welcome at this stage.

What a horrible flat performance. Too many players completely off form, and we seemed unable to string the simplest passes together. The pitch clearly doesn't help our passing game, but QP aren't exactly a long ball team and they coped fine.

Scott McLaughlin was the only player for me that would get pass marks, as he at least tried to spark things by bringing the ball into midfield from left back. However, as soon as he passed it on to Fisher, Davidson or Holmes, it was quickly lost. Higgins at least worked hard up front but gets frustrated and angry very easily, and that doesn't help someone like Victoria who is really lacking in confidence.

Fair play to Queens, they were worth the victory and look like they won't now be cut adrift in 9th..Hopefully some other team will play dead alongside Forfar, as I can see us beginning to head back in that direction once winter kicks in.

Very happy with that performance, second half especially. We looked far more like the team we were last season. Much stronger in defence with the 3 centre backs and Millen at wing back. Summers also had his best game for us

Thought Rovers shaded the first half and we also needed Willie to be at his best on a few occasions. Having a solid and settled defence in front of him helps. It also calms him down and means there is no need for him to make rash decisions on when to come and when to stay

Need to stick with Donnelly playing behind Orr and it was good to see Orr get an old fashioned poacher's goal. Give these two a run together and I'm sure he'll get more

First time for a few of us on the wee terracing behind the goal. Liked it. Reminded me of Annan but without the rain pissing down on us
