Dindeleux
Obviously St Mirren have been very professional but games like this are just a waste of time. It’s Kilmarnock vs Falkirk levels of disparity.

Lex
FT 1-7Yeah nothing more to add from half time really. Second half was spent avoiding suspension and injury. Good finish for the LHTV goal right enough.Hampden here we come.

Not really, considering the East Kilbride game earlier in the season. Job done; think we must've packed up and left at half time though..

HibeeJibee
Felt for LTHV - "the only remaining amateurs" say Sportscene - as I watched their first-half nightmare unfold. Remember that in 6 previous meetings with SPFL clubs over the last few seasons they've 4 wins & 2 draws, most recently prevailing 5-3 at SPFL2 leader Stirling Albion in the previous round. They controlled the opening minutes with some nice passing shapes and missed a sitter from a corner. (Also blazed a long effort over the bar and missed another sitter a few minutes later). After that everything went to pieces. They couldn't retain possession and could barely defend - including some howlers - and were ruthlessly cut apart by St Mirren, at times virtually at will. Different team second half - which they 'won' 1-0 - but it was over by then. No casualties, either !

sergie's no1 fan
Having a quick glance at the other results today it really puts it into perspective.Brilliant days work, more game time for Magennis, 90 mins for Harry Davies and Reilly scoring 4. Have you ever seen the Morton lift the cup?
Stu
Was out so was scrolling through Twitter at half-time catching up. That was fun. Not often my main concern at the break is that I'll miss us scoring double figures. Embarrassing second half display though. Ross must go.

Assuming you need to be 5 years old to remember something like that, then you're basically talking about a 100 year old Ton fan. That's someone who has outlasted the average Greenock life expectancy by 65 years. QED... Nobody alive has seen Morton lift a major trophy. glenburn bud
There was never any doubt about the outcome, we strolled it first half and rattled in 7 without breaking sweat. We switched off a bit second half but you can understand that given the importance of next week's league match, and also giving Harry Davis 90 mins under his belt. To be honest, there is no need for Saints to win 15-0 or whatever. Half pace, foot off the pedal and let them "win" the second half is fine. Job was done.
