If we win Mackay is going to get the job isn't he.

He already has it,  the interm shite is to keep us quite for now. His role is performance director why is he anywhere near a match selection,  if anything it should have been the u21vmanager taking interm charge

Why not Anya? Can play RB/LB and in midfield and has been decent. Surely Archer who is 24 and made 150 starts/appearances at L1 and now championship level should come in as our third choice. Don't particularly like Phillips but who's a better pacy winger that could come in to squad?

They're all black and Malky Mackay is manager.HTH.

The U21s have two competitive matches.  The more obvious solution would have been not to play this pointless friendly.

In terms of the squad, there is absolutely no need to make wholesale changes for the sake of it.  The current squad has been doing well over the last year since the shift in focus towards Celtic players, and it would be daft to rip it up and start again.  Give a couple of the fringe guys who have already been involved in squads a chance, and maybe add two or three new faces at most.

Use this match to try integrate a few new players into the starting eleven (Cooper, Cairney, McGregor, Fraser).

Gordon; Tierney, Mulgrew, Cooper, Robertson; Armstrong, Cairney; Forrest, McGregor, Fraser; Griffiths.
