People are just wanting a load of goal scoring - or at least more attacking-minded - midfielders to play, but they aren’t realising that there is a need for someone to sit back and protect the back 4. McGinn isn’t quite as attacking as Armstrong or McGregor but I’ve seen him play once this season in front of the back line and he struggled immensely. He’s more of a box-to-box midfielder. We must keep with Brown or Fletcher in there, as I really don’t know how many other players we have who can do that job, although it’s arguably a role that comes with experience.
