Which article are you referring to? The old news is that Ross couldn't pick his nose. He had badges but no brains. Good players stifled by his tactics and good players left stranded by their roles e.g. the left back taking set pieces on the right side leaving him stranded when the move broke down. His behaviour was shocking, rarely a game going by without him being spoken to and I was informed he has been reported to the sjfa for his behaviour post match on Saturday.
And yes, if you had read all the articles the Herald has online, you'd see Monday night meetings are the norm.

Ross having his say on the matter.

Appears to be trying to deflect away from performances and results which were way below what was expected of him.

That's one thing about him he's always got plenty to say

Yes most committees meet every week but would be surprised if the management get harassed as much as Ross is alluding to . When on our committee we hardly ever spoke to Tommy Bryce . We just let him get on with the job at hand & if he had any issues he would approach us . Not saying this would happen at every club but would be surprised if any manager worth his salt would put up with harassment like this on a regular basis

Good manager was Chris
done well at Troon with no money emoji106.png

Don't be kidded, he had money at Troon. Done away with signing on fees, introduced a weekly wage for players and nearly bankrupted the club.

Sound familiar;)

The guy did very well at Kello. That's the reason you appointed him I suspect, not his badges.

Either way, 4 managers in a few seasons should hardly fill the next guy with confidence that he'll get any time.

Only 2 of them were sacked, and quite rightly.

Clubs need to get a look at themselves ffs... you appoint a manager with some targets for the season and then you measure him against them. Any body that thinks it`s ok for a committee (usually made up of people who are no doubt well intentioned and with the clubs interest at heart but no more qualified than your average gamer on FIFA17) to question a manager every Monday night after every game at this level is deluded.  They`re currently sitting in amongst a bunch of teams around the middle of the table with 20 games to go.... and the suggestion that Sponsors have any influence over the manager`s position should be enough to make sure that any decent candidates give it a wide a berth....

To accept the words of a dejected manager less than 24 hours following dismissal is pretty naive. Ross would have been given one target for the season and that would've been automatic promotion. The club were left with a decision to make following poor performances and results which leaves them closer to the bottom than it does the top. Even with 20 league games to go the correct decision has been made and I don't believe the club will be short of managerial applicants.

He could’ve helped himself if he was a bit more respectful towards opposition players/management and officials. Heard from a few folk that he confronted the referee at the end of the game on Saturday in an extremely aggressive manner.

I’d assume he would’ve been given more of a chance if this wasn’t the case. I don’t believe he was sacked just because of results.
