Ah well. At the least the Tartan Army will be drinking copious amounts of Slovenian beer out their feathered hats and doing the country proud

It's almost as if they won't let a game of football ruin their time away on holiday. Bizarre.

Strachan

Reduced to blaming genetics, saying Scots are the shortest in Europe after Spain. Yes, that's right: Spain. World and twice European champions within the last decade.

Even the excuses can't stand up to scrutiny. f**k off, Gordon.

It's not as if we have a right to turn up and expect to beat countries like Slovenia. They've qualified for three tournaments since we were at France 98.

Against England the other night they were well organised, passed well and were dangerous on the counter attack. Tonight showed their passing, movement and general athleticism were far superior to ours, albeit they didn't create as many clear chances as their possession deserved.

I would too, but I'm 5"9 so I'd be no good at the whole height thing.

Oh.  It's height not width he's looking for then ?  :(

Oh well, back to Tinder .....

Yet more negativity began with a bout of rage.

Why have you, conveniently, overlooked the fact that we were 3rd seeds in a group of 6? We finished 3rd missing out on goal difference only!

Try answering without the rage and see if you can be a little bit positive, at least!

Mainly because our seeding is irrelevant to the fact we failed to beat Lithuania at home.

There are a number of reasons we didn't qualify the players also need to take responsibility as does the manager as does the SFA unfair to blame everything on the manager. the fans also - noticed a buzz for this game because we are on a winning run but with a population of 5 million we didn't fill hampden for all the games!!!

How much shorter are we than lots of other teams? Quarter of an inch? Half an inch? It's probably something statistically insignificant in a lot of cases.

It's not as if we're coming up against man mountains all the time, or the teams qualifying for finals tournaments look like a police convention.

Seems like a total cop-out or deflection exercise.

Sorry but you can't blame the Scotland fans after Strachan stayed on for another's campaign despite not qualifying for euros then the start we had.

Correct! We aren't exactly blessed with world-class players.

In isolation a point against Slovenia away is a perfectly good result. Slovenia are a decent side and have qualified more recently than we have.

1 point against England probably what was expected.
3 points against Slovakia was expected.
4 points against Slovenia probably slightly more than expected.
4 points against Lithuania was the problem.

You could flip it many ways. We should have seen the England home game out. For me it was the 3-0 defeat to Slovakia. We capitulated. If we had only went down 1-0 in that game we would have finished above them in the table on GD.
