Senior international week this week and the lower leagues in England and Scotland still play. However the WoSFA must think thousands will descend on Newlandsfield to watch a couple of friendly s that mean nowt since their team isn't playing...

The truth is they they are probably worried that if they played games that day then more naturals would go along to a Peasie v Glencairn game etc than along to a pointless game showing this nonsense up for what it is.

That's not the reason at all.

The reason why all other games that should be on nearby are off during this tourney is because if there was a regular junior card the blazers might be expected to attend their own clubs' matches and would thereby miss the chance to get their snouts in the trough.

Same reason finals of cup competitions are played at neutral grounds on days when no other competing games are allowed.
