Very frustrating. Game in the bag at half time and 2 points dropped.

Give Elgin some credit for stopping us playing (4 yellow cards and should have been more). Two players on Morrison ( one to kick and one to push) ably assisted by the most inept referee & lino we've seen in a longtime.

Binnie should have been in. Foden instills no confidence in the defence. Mackay is making the wrong decision with him. He got rid of Smith to give Binnie the chance - Dont drop him!

2-2 was almost a fair result. Still think we shaded it.

I really hope that's the last we see of Foden in goal. Is like giving the oppo a one goal start. I don't mean him any malice, but truly awful both last week and today.

On the subject of the referee , I've been going for years and that was one of the worst officiating teams i have EVER seen.  That foul on McDonald was shocking and neither the ref or lino saw any of the blatant off the ball incidents. Anyway, a point gained on Peterhead it would appear.

Elgin better side and deserved all 3 points. Should have had a penalty , Stirling committed more fouls than Elgin

Elgin were the better side in the second half but didn't deserve to win.

The penalty shout was never going to be give. The referee had ignored these challanges all day long so was never going to give a penalty.

Not sure what stats your looking at for fouls. :unsure2:

First half even and Stirling  probably could not believe they were 2 up. 2nd half Elgin should have scored at least 4 and had so much more of the ball.  Foul count will.wait and see stats on game but round 17 fouls Stirling and 10 Elgin

Taking it well, then.

Felt we were a bit fortunate to go in 2-0 up at halftime, but we allowed Elgin to control the match in the second half and we were lucky that Foden pulled of a good save when level to get the point but why was he starting ? An accident waiting to happen imo, lucky to just get a yellow when he came out to tackle the Elgin player.  Referee and West stand linesman were terrible in the second half, allowed Elgin players to get away with murder, poor decisions re offside.

Still 4 points clear at the top of the League.

Ah, you’re talking about fouls given. Still think you’re wrong about the official stats.

loath to criticise dave mackay . as hes done littl;e wrong . but today was a major faux paux . and hopefully last we see off mark fodden between the sticks should have been off before the first goal for kamikaze lunge. handling and distubution was awful and nearly gave the ball away from a kick out that would have left a clear run in on goal

i suppose its a sign of the improvement these days . that a draw is regarded as a defeat . we bossed it for 65 minutes should have been a least 3 in front at half time second half were cruising till late collapse but game became stretched and we didnt look to clever  at the back aand if not for a late save could have lost

good to see liam caddis back in easily the best player on the park didnt waste much and most times found a team mate with a pass im hughly encouraged by the way we attack teams always look dangerous . going forward but worrieng were having to score at least 3 each game to get something out of it

still not being happy with a 4 point lead at the top is something . this time a year ago skippy was getting his jotters after a 4-0 defeat to todays opponets so progress neing made but please get the defensive frailties sorted

Strange game, game really should have been out of sight but Elgin battled hard second half and grew in confidence especially after the goal and deserved the point.

Elgin players did make it a bit of a kicking match and the disappointing thing is we got embroiled in it instead of playing our own game, almost naive.

No mention of the officials but some baffling decisions, even Elgin had a number of occasions where they had good advantage but the ref continually stopped the game and slowed it down, worst moment when McNeil hit the ball past the Elgin player and essentially made it to the other side and when he was about to cross the lino flagged for an FK, not even the Elgin players expected it!

A football fan once told me . The season finishes on the last day and the team with the most points wins. They never mentioned stats or refereeing decisions. Boring.

Stirling's first goal was one to savour. Started in Stirling half, involved four players. Orchestrated by Morrison. I' sure you remember or were you watching for fouls.
