Hope the absolute roaster who sits in front of me that was screaming at Craig Sibbald last Saturday at calling him 'a fucking waster' and to 'f**k off out the club' is feeling good after hearing oor sibbs has been playing the last two week with an injury. Cretin. Same guy that got upset with people calling Aird a *** last season.

Again you've got to really ask why Houston was playing him and loy. They weren't fit and we're simply filling jerseys the last few weeks.

Agreed, they were both rotten but this boy was seething. Was thinking Sibbs may have pumped his bird but she was sitting next to him and looked a bit of a Rottweiler. Wid not.

Houstie was probably playing them out of desperation. Hoping one of them would make something out of nothing. Big gamble which didn't pay off.

It’s simple....Houston was fucking clueless and was in charge 7 league games too long this season before the board finally saw sense and ditched him. Back end of last season was an embarrassment. Only way is up now!!

It shows the type of job Duffy has done at Morton when you see him being linked to top flight clubs. He was seen as a poor appointment for you guys back when you were in League One and his career seemed pretty much done at the top level as he was flitting from the likes of Brechin to Clyde. Now he'll be at the top of most board's (Doubt he'll feature at the top of many fans lists, Dundee aside) when lower top flight jobs become available.

Miraculous turnaround.

Not surprising to see Barry Smith's gormless cheerleader being just as clueless about the biggest tactical dinosaur currently managing in Scottish football.

Duffy has built a solid team for this level, while enjoying a mid-table budget for this level throughout his tenure. That's better than most Morton managers have achieved under Rae's gormless stewardship of the club, but isn't actually a 'miraculous turnaround'. Duffy's limitations as a manager are clear to see to regular viewers and Saturday was a textbook demonstration:

- flawed line-up and tactical game plan (having Harkins and Forbes on both wings making for the most pedestrian midfield of all time)

- stubborn refusal to change the failing tactical game plan throughout

- crap (and pointlessly delayed) like for like substitutions (due to the refusal to change cited above)

Cue insipid defeat.

Duffy isn't likely to get the club nearly relegated at this level, as the likes of Snake McInally and King Snake Grady brought about. But he is equally unlikely - given his abject tactical plans - to get a Morton squad genuinely punching above its weight either, which this season would be finishing in the play-offs. Finishing fourth last season was not an over-achievement, as Saint Mirren's shambolic campaign left a space open for an established mid-table side to get into the play-offs.

If a top-flight Scottish football club is stupid enough to listen to the armchair punditry of Duffy's mates on SuperScoreboard and Sportsound  and recruit him as their new manager, it would be greatly appreciated.
