Can't actually remember seeing us beat Utd...

I've been going to the games regularly since 2000 and I've seen us hump United on a good number of occasions. Been on the other end a few times too.

A bargain £18 to see the most exciting team in the country.

A real bang for buck price. We're quite simply the most entertaining team in the country just now.

Important Information: Saturday's Match v Dundee United

A big crowd is anticipated at East End Park for Saturday’s match against Dundee United. It has been well documented that the new access control system has caused our club a lot of difficulty to date. It is anticipated that all software teething problems will be rectified this week. However, it will take a few further matches for all supporters to know exactly how to use the new card readers.

Therefore, our club would ask all supporters to read the following information in advance of the match, to try and reduce the likelihood of delays in gaining entry to East End Park. If you can, please arrive early on Saturday, to allow us the best possible opportunity of avoiding queues in and around the stadium.

The turnstiles will open at 1.45pm.

MATCH TICKETS

The Club Shop/Ticket Office will be opened on both Thursday and Friday this week, from 10am to 4 pm, to allow as many supporters as possible to buy match tickets, in advance.

The Ticket Office will also be open from 10am on Saturday. The more supporters who can purchase match tickets in advance, will put less strain on the ticket kiosks. It would also be helpful if supporters wishing to purchase match tickets only, with cash, use the ticket kiosk rather than the club shop to avoid queues forming in the club shop.

INSTRUCTION & USER GUIDEA simple instruction diagram will be attached beside the electronic readers at each turnstile, to highlight how match tickets and season tickets should be scanned by supporters, at the point of entry.

UNDER 12 SEASON TICKETS

Due to a number of late applications at the previous match days, causing delays at the Club Shop and home ticket kiosk, our club has taken the decision to make a cut off time on a match day for new under 12 season ticket applications.

From Saturday’s match, no new applications for under 12 season tickets will be accepted after 1pm on match day. This to assist with the smooth running of the Club Shop and Ticket Kiosk.

It is deeply disappointing to note that we have identified some adults who are abusing our club’s free season ticket offer, by trying to use a child’s card to gain entry. This will be identified more efficiently with the new season ticket warning system, and anyone found trying to gain entry without paying will be refused entry in future.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation. COYP!

Is there any reason Dunfermline think they need a champions league style entry system instead of just collecting cash and jam jars ?

Not a clue. An utter waste of time and any money saved by not having to hire folk to work the turnstiles has been totally offset by the chaos trying to get in.

Hopefully it won't be too bad on Saturday; I missed the kick-off for the Falkirk game, despite getting into the queue at 2:40.

When the system is fully sorted it is the quickest way into the stadium no doubt about that especially for season ticket holders which the system encourages. Sending pre-purchase tickets to away clubs is a vital part of the system to work. It certainly works for us.
