Fide
Anyone else watching this? A series of individual stories, all based on Philip K Dick novels. The first one was on at the weekend, The Hoodmaker. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It's always going to be difficult cramming a full story into an hour, but I thought they did a decent job. Richard Madden and, in particular, Holliday Grainger, were excellent. Thoughts lads? KnightswoodBear
Haven't watched it yet, but got it set to record. I would like to agree that Holliday Grainger is indeed excellent, though.
Puppets
I'm a Dick fan (yip) and I really did enjoy the first episode. It did feel a bit budget Ridley Scott, reminded me of the 80's Day of the Triffids BBC adaptation, but the story was good and the ideas thought provoking. Good cast too. Will watch again. Yep it had that vibe about it. Washed out blues and greens and a concrete dystopia.
Arch Stanton
All that time watching GoT and I never knew Richard Madden was Scottish. He's even from the village where I was born, Elderslie.

According to a mate of mine, who is a HUGE Dick fan (Kenneth Williams photo here) the original story is only seven pages long so not that difficult. D.A.F.C
Much better tonight agreed. Quite like tv or films where you can interpret your own ending.
JustOneCornetto
Last week's one was so-so but this one was really good, an absorbing existential experience that is left very much to your own interpretation.

DA Baracus
I thought that it was a dodgy robot, especially when it did the red eyes thing. Rather reckless of the lad to throw his life away for some old bird he didn't know. But he's dead now so his pal and the robot can share a bit suitcase of cash and have some adventures. D.A.F.C
Best episode so far imo. Spall was absolutely fantastic and fitted the part really well. One of the best things I've seen on UK tv for a while.
JustOneCornetto
Really good, agree it was best of the three episodes so far. The new slimline Timothy Spall was excellent and I loved the Magritte inspired visuals of the dreamscape new town.

Miguel Sanchez
This week's seems to suffer from the same problem the first one did, in that one hour isn't enough to create a believable setting and the actual story which unfolds is unintelligible as a result. Satans_Husband
It's trying so hard to be another Black Mirror that it's a bit distracting. With the exception of the Spall one last week, which was pretty good, I've found them all quite dull.
