Hope Kev Smith is back for you, great favourite in his Raith days.

3 points for The Fife here.

We played Forfar at Stark's and they were off the pace.

Never know with a new management team coming in mind, but still fancy East Fife to take full points in this one.

We always struggle against teams who are playing poorly and haven't won for a few games. We also struggle against teams without a manager !

Hopefully we can buck that trend on Sat and win convincingly. To do this we must stop being so wasteful in front of goal and make sure we start hitting the target more often. The Queens Park and Airdrie games showed that we are able to create chances but the number of times we fail to hit the target is incredible. One goal in the last 3 games and it was a penalty, doesn't need a rocket scientist to work out where our problems lie. Chris Duggan is off the boil a bit just now and is snatching at chances. Greg Hurst lacks a bit of composure in front of goal and Kyle Wilson is unlikely to be played up front as the loan striker. The money saved by Ben Gordon leaving should be spent on bringing in a striker although our best bet is probably a loanee. The two that I would have liked to have seen in an East Fife shirt (Zanatta & Shankland) have already been snapped up by Raith & Ayr.

Hopefully this weekend sees Darren Young be quite attack minded and we can hit the target more often, get a few goals and build a bit of confidence. In saying that Forfar will be dangerous as players will be wanting to impress a new manager if appointed or prospective managers sitting in the stand

Last 225 minutes we've played very poorly, I'm kinda hoping it was the players deliberately downing tools in that period.
Previous to that we put a shift in in the other games and, contrary to the Raith comment above, we competed pretty well as an attacking force, certainly as threatening as Raith were, until the sending off on 40 mins and did a pretty good job at keeping out the full time outfit, 2 goals coming from comedy defending aside.
No idea what to expect this Saturday but a bit of fight across the pitch, at the very least, should be hoped for.
