Diamonds are Forever Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 We played well against Alloa playing 4-5-1, totally dominating the midfield and allowing Conroy to get on the ball and be influential. Predictably, playing 4 in midfield meant Conroy was anonymous, as he always is with 4 in midfield, and East Fife ran through our midfield. Furtado is not a striker, it's debatable whether he is a footballer at all, but playing largely with his back to goal certainly is not his game. In general, it was one of the worst games of football I've ever seen, and whilst it may only be the 3rd tier of Scottish football the fact that the players on show actually get paid to play football is frightening, the standard is absolutely atrocious. Chapelhall chap Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Just as I remember it from yesterday. A clear dive but to then get involved with the Ref-youthful naivety? Quite a fair commentary but still think penalty was soft. Liked the Panenka but very risky next time. Airdrie did squander some good breaks with poor team work but EF probably deserved the points.
