jamamafegan
I thought an official poll from a few years back had Yes as like 95% or something? How has that dropped so much now? Hope they don't shit their pants.
Bully Wee Villa
Looks like they are still going to vote yes I suppose the question is whether it is by a large enough majority to give it an air of legitimacy.

A small turnout and a massive Si win would be just as problematic imo. Arguably more so than a small win for no and big turnout. welshbairn
The bookies have it as Yes and the Pollsters as No because the Bookies don't think the no voters will turn up for an illegal referendum. As someone whose lumped on No I hope they do.
Crossbill
I had a quick look at the recent polling and that one shown on the last page was one of very few that give NO a lead. Most are YES, and all that are based on those guaranteed to vote are very strongly YES.
NotThePars
The bookies had Remain at 1/4 or 1/6 the night before and we all know how that turned out.

Whitburn Vale
Jean claude Juncker has today admitted that the EU will respect the will of the Catalan people in the event of a Yes vote on the 1st of October but in the same sentence says he respects what the Spanish government and courts are trying to do to stop it.....talk aboot sittin on the fence

The only reason Scotland got a referendum was that Westminster allowed it. The UN position was around the issue of decolonisation, not the splitting apart of existing states.
Tibbermoresaint
The UN position is enshrined in its charter. Quite simply, all peoples have the right to self-determination. The UN did not intend North Berwick to be able to declare itself an independent nation and set up an offshore banking sector.
Tibbermoresaint
I'm sure it didn't but North Berwick has every right to do that if it wishes.
