Big Berk
Elgin started well but their defence is like a seive. Hopefully they tighten up a bit to save further embarassment.

Highland Capital
Elgin City are currently not just bringing shame on themselves and not just on the county of Moray but all of Scotland.

afca32
Better second half, probably would've said 3/4 at the start so not too disappointed. Back to serious business next week with Scottish Cup second round.
gordon9736
Losing 4-0 away to a full time team who regularly play in Europe isn't a disgrace. Do Elgin get any TV money?

Elgin Street Badger
Final word:Was at the match and well done to all the city fans from across the UK who made it especially those who travelled by train and plane from the North of Scotland. Just to clarify a few facts about TNS and their comparative advantages over a part time club like Elgin and in their own league(Welsh Premier) We were informed by locals that the TNS players who are full timers are on circa £2000-£3000 a week(the lad who scored twice Greg Draper is a New Zealand internationalist although he was born in England )which no part time club can compete against, hence the reason they win the Welsh Premier League every year so they can go into Europe and collect the money associated with this. Their crowds are very poor and average 400-500 as the locals do not turn up, such is their contempt for the owner of TNS and every local we spoke such as taxi drivers and staff in pubs and hotels wanted the city to win. Park Hall where they play is the most surreal footie ground that I have ever been to: the main building is quite large internally and has a children's play area, a cafe, bar and on the other side of the bar, a bowling alley so a large amount of money has been spent on the "entertainment"side of things yet, they have only one end covered and a gazebo(smaller than the one at Alloa) but they appear to have forgotten the basics such as toilets. To go to the toilet if you are in the ground you have to go round to the front of the main building, up a staircase, get the back of your hand stamped(those over 50 will remember this in the discos of the 60 and 70's) go through the cafe and on the way back show your hand again with the stamp. The consensus amongst the city fans that I spoke to said that they would have settled for 3-0 prior to the game and for the first 10-15 minutes we played quite well but our defensive frailties again were shown up. Hopefully the new manager(?) will sort this area out as it is costing us games, most recently at Berwick. The trip was otherwise very enjoyable and a good time was had by all and the locals were very friendly to us. Dublin next year?
