Bit worried about this, tbh. Might sound daft since we're unbeaten, but I'm not convinced we've played well this season. Have 20 minute patches in matches where it all clicks and then things just fall apart.

Only positive is Dundees best chance is Deacon roasting Easton, and we had a practice session for that today with Boyle running riot, so we'll possibly start Craig on the left to try and negate that.

Agree with you completely. We've had a great run of results, but have yet to put together a thoroughly convincing performance. First half v killie, and first half v Celtic, and early on today been about the best we've done.

We struggle at Dens generally, so wouldn't be completely surprised if we have a hard time. And Easton has looked a shadow of one of our most reliable players that he has been over the past few seasons so far.

On the plus side, we've not conceded too many, and the centre backs and Mannus have been in pretty good form so far.  We are also a side who are usually up for the battle (apart from the game at Dens last Hogmanay), and fairly well organised, with the pace and threat of MOH.

Be good to get back to winning ways, with Spoony and Scougz getting it going again after today's subdued showing, but wouldn't be surprised if it's another 1-1.

Disagree. ......we will gub them and continue to be undefeated but hope they can get points throughout the season to stay in the top league so we get local derbiies otherwise we will have to rely on DABS getting promoted.

No offence, but this is a lot of superstitious shite. Historic results mean absolutely Scottish Football Association when it comes to any game, particularly when it is the first game of a new season.

Absolutely true in almost every way. Except we're periodically howling at Dens.

In terms of line up I'd be going

Mannus

Foster - Anderson - Shaughnessy - Easton

Davidson - Craig

Wotherspoon - Scougall - O'Halloran

MacLean

Harsh on Paton, who's been fine this season, but Davidson can dominate these games, and we always seem to press better with Craig in the middle, he's also a huge help at covering the left flank.

Need Scougall in the middle, his part in the goal yesterday just enforces it as his ability to take players out the game with a wee touch is incredible, him feeding balls to O'Halloran seems like a great opportunity.

After TW's comments about Davidson would not be surprised if he does not even make the squad for this match - so Paton should play.

Would like to see us play 2 up front and have a right go - need to get the goal difference back up so that when Celtic and Aberdeen falter we are in a position to go back top o' the pile instead of just being top team in tayside (again).
