Hank Scorpio
That looked a lot like hand ball. Ayr lucky to get away with that.
Raith Against The Machine
Ayr have started well. Certainly don't look like a team that's been decimated by injury.
Scary Bear
We look a bit vulnerable down our left wing. We seem to be missing McHattie at left back. Ayr have had a few good attacks on the break.
Hank Scorpio
Benedictus is fucked. Great.
CALDERON
Yep certainly think there could be a wee wake up call today.
Raith Against The Machine
Robertson to centre half. I'd take that point now.
Scary Bear
Hmmm our defence would now not be far short of that night at Pittodrie. Hopefully Robertson can play the Simmons/Beckenbaur role.
Leggy Blonde
Ayr will be lucky to stay with 11 men on the park at this rate.
Hank Scorpio
Actually steadied ourselves pretty well since Bene went off. Ayr do look a bit sharper than us, though. Some effort from Vaughan off the post.

Scary Bear
Couple of good chances there for us. Bene off on crutches and McHattie not appearing are both worries. Davo and Thomson now the main men in the defence.
D'Jaffo
Larry Shankland on his debut !!

CALDERON
Ayr miles better than us. Callachan is an absolutely huge miss.
SuperShug1910
2 more goals to follow in the second half for Lord Lawrence as he wraps up the inevitable hattrick :-). In all seriousness tho, YAS!
Scary Bear
Shankland looks to be carrying a bit of excess weight but he's done the business for Ayr.You can only hope we have some budding defenders in the u-20s who can step in, but McKay is on the bench and Barry obviously didn't fancy putting him in against Ayr. Raith Against The Machine
We were always going to struggle with set pieces without Benedictus. Murray did well enough with the initial header but the organisation just wasn't there.Shankland probably lucky to get the rebound, should've scored with his first effort. The combination of Robertson dropping and the defence being unfamiliar means we're not getting the ball down in midfield and controlling the game like we have been recently.Game certainly not over by any means, but the goal will mean we'll have to force the issue and may well leave a few more gaps at the back. Wullie McNaught
Got one of those 'this isn't going to be our day' gut feelings after about ten minutes. Totally agree about Cal, massive miss for us.
Leggy Blonde
Losing Bene is a disaster for us. Ayr have stopped us settling in the midfield and deserve their lead at HT so far.
